Liberia: Thomas Garwo Bids MCC Farewell

MONROVIA: Monrovia City Police Director, Col. Thomas Garwo has formally turned over the position to an officer and Commissioner of the Liberia National Police as part of the government’s ongoing reforms.

Commissioner Alphonso Papay is the new Director of the Monrovia City Police.

During the ceremony today in Monrovia, Col. Garwo expressed gratitude to Monrovia City Mayor, John Siafa for the opportunity to serve his country.

He also used the parable, “A military man never leaves the barracks”.

Explaining more, the former City Police Director said as a former LNP officer and trainer of firearms, he termed the police as his fallback position.
