MONROVIA: Nimba County District 7 Representative Musa Hassan Bility has written President Joseph Boakai expressing concern about the recent actions of some public officials.

Posting on his official Facebook page, the Nimba County Lawmaker said he believed that the alleged actions of President Boakai’s officials were unconstitutional and unruly.

Calling the attention of the President to the recent actions of the Civil Service Agency Director General Josiah Joekai, Rep. Ability said it’s imperative that the President harness control on the CSA Director General.

He does not have the authority to infringe upon the rights of civil servants guaranteed by the Constitution. If you fail to act, it will be evident that you are using him to purge the Civil Service. Reassert control over him, or we will be compelled to take action ourselves. Consider this a warning.”

Describing the action of the Mayor of the city of Monrovia terminating employees’ employment at the city corporation, Representative Bility said it’s troubling to hear about the Mayor’s decision to dismiss civil servants for speaking out against the government.

Such actions pose a threat to the peace and security of our country. As President, it is essential that you take charge and address these issues. Your silence on these matters is contributing to a sense of lawlessness and disorder.” He wrote

He also alleged that there have been too many violations of the Constitution without appropriate action.

He urged the President to take control of the government before the situation worsens.

I also urge you to immediately reinstate the dismissed civil servants. I sincerely hope that my concerns are taken seriously.” He concludes
