We would like to reiterate that the mighty Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) remains supreme in the dispensation of democracy and the rule of law in Liberia,” the letter stated.

Commitment to the CDC’s Core Values

The acceptance of the suspension and agreement to cooperate with the investigation underscores the lawmakers’ commitment to party discipline and unity. This response could be seen as a signal to other CDC members that adherence to the party’s core values remains paramount, even amid internal disagreements.

The situation surrounding Speaker Kofa’s removal has been a controversial one, potentially straining party dynamics within the CDC caucus. However, this collective show of respect for the party’s disciplinary process highlights a desire to maintain solidarity and adhere to CDC’s guiding principles.

Potential Impact on CDC’s Unity and Structure

The show of unity within the CDC, despite internal disagreements, could help the party maintain its standing and reinforce confidence among its partisans.
