MONROVIA: The Environmental Protection Agency is expected to build a regional office in western Liberia to address environmental problems in that part of the country.
While making the disclosure during the Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism’s regular press briefing the agency’s Executive Director Dr Emmanuel Urey Yarkpawolo said due to the numerous environmental problems caused by some company’s activities in the region, the agency will be constructing a sub-office that will swiftly intervene.
Doctor Yarkpawolo also disclosed that the agency has gotten 50.000 United States Dollars for the construction of the sub-office.
“I just want to I for me you that EPA is going to have a modern sub-office in Cape Mount. We have already gotten more than 50.000 towards that project.”
He furthermore told journalists that the agency is having a discussion with the superintendent of Grand Cape Mount County for an ideal location for the construction of the sub-office.
