LIBERIA: MOE Constructs Standard High School in Barrobo

MARYLAND: For the first time in Barrobo District #2, Maryland, the Ministry Of Education has put up a modern school structure, followed by the official dedication ceremony of a New High School and Early Childhood Development structure which contains fifteen (15) Classrooms, offices and modern latrines including bathroom.

Phase two (2) of the school dedication ceremony was held in District #2, Barrobo, and was attended by Chiefs, Women’s Wing, Youth of Barrobo, DEO- David, Maryland County Education Officer – Emmanuel Toe and the disable community.

The exercise is followed by the recent tour made by Education Minister- Jarsor Jallah, promising to construct and revise learning conditions to empower Students in Liberia.

It started in 2022 during the regime of Ex-President George Manneh Weah and is completed this year.

Presenting the school building, CEO Toe praised ADRA, World Bank, and the Ministry Of Education led by Min. Jarsor Jallah for the tremendous effort made in fostering good education. He added that the ministry of education is committed to expand education to remote part of Liberia as it’s vibrant in every society.

Toe promised the local MOE office commitment to school authorities to inhance quality education as the Education Minister is actively undertaking numerous projects in the County.

Receiving the gesture, the District Education Officer(DEO) David Dweh applauded Minister Jallah and international pathners for such an initiative. DEO Dweh started that the gesture is timely and will be used for it purpose intended.

Barrobo education District #2 has fifteen(15) schools. Since I was assigned here over years we have not seen such a school building. We are glade to see president Boikai constructing High Schools in Liberia” he stressed.

Giving an appraisal of the project, he mentioned that the School and ECD is valued at Seven eight thousand united state dallars( $78.000.00)

He pledged his support to corporating with the Ministry Of Education to build Students learning capacity and to see the inclusiveness of all citizens.
